His Early Life
Born in 1979, Ostreicher grew up in a religious household and was drawn to his faith and spirituality from a young age. He had a calling to serve and teach others and also witnessed firsthand how a strong sense of community fostered a sense of integrity, ethics, security, and confidence among individuals.
The strong ideals and ethical and spiritual principles of Judaism strongly resonated with Ostreicher, including the fact that the world is a work in progress and the call to creativity to make ourselves, our society, and the world into something better. These principles guided his call to become a rabbi and to give back.
Ostreicher attended rabbinical school, the Yeshivah, where he studied Rabbinic literature, primarily the Talmud and halacha (Jewish law), along with the Torah, Jewish philosophy, Hebrew, and Yiddish. He studied history and the moral framework of the Jewish faith, solidifying his strong desire to guide and direct the spiritual lives of others.
